2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 c. chopped nuts CRUST: 5 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. butter 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste) 1/2 tsp. vanilla FILLING: Into a saucepan over boiling water or low heat, place evaporated milk, chocolate chips and the cream cheese. Stir constantly until melted and well blended. Stir in the nuts and remove from the heat. Set aside. CRUST: Mix until crumbs. Place over half of the crumbs into a 9 x 12 inch pan. Press lightly. Cover with filling and then with the remaining crumbs. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars, size desired. |
