CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1 c. Crisco
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
3 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan, mix Crisco, butter, water, and cocoa. Bring to a boil over low heat. Remove from heat, add eggs, flour, sugar, cinnamon, soda, vanilla, and milk. Mix well. Pour into square pan and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. About 5 minutes before cake is done, make icing and pour over cake while hot.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Put butter, milk, and cocoa in pan and heat, then remove form heat. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and nuts. Mix and pour over hot cake.
