SAUERKRAUT AND PORK (PA STYLE) | |
2 to 3 pkgs. sauerkraut 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 to 3 lbs. boneless or semi-boneless pork blade or rib roast 3 c. water, more if needed Rinse sauerkraut and place in 5 quart pan. Add water. Put in spices and sugar, salt and pepper. Add roast. Cook until almost done on low heat for 4 hours. Remove roast, cool, cut into bite size pieces. Add to sauerkraut. Mix 2 cups of Bisquick and 1 cup water and drop into sauerkraut and cook about 20 minutes. Serve while hot. |
