PLUM COFFEE CAKE 
DOUGH FOR BOTTOM OF FRUIT CAKE:

1 lg. egg
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. Crisco
1/2 c. milk

Mix together in a bowl. Grease baking pan. Sift together:

2 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 pinch salt

Add to top mixture. Mix. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Put in coffee cake pans only 1/2" thick because it rises higher when it bakes. Cut plums in half, remove stones, lay plums inside up. Mix small carton of sour cream with 1/4 cup sugar. Pour over the plums. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until fruit is done and edges are brown.
