After rice is steamed run cold water over it until each grain is separated from others. In large skillet or pan, heat 1 pound of butter (more or less as needed). Add a dash of saffrin and approximately 1 tablespoon mixed curry powders. Add several finely chopped onions, saute until nearly done. Turn heat higher and add 1-2 cups raisins and same amount of cashew nuts. Turn lightly and let fry until raisins are twice the size and nuts are golden brown. Pour over rice and mix lightly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Use amount of rice you would use for your family.
