BERNIE'S MUSHROOM SOUP 
1 lb. sliced mushrooms
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
4 c. milk
1/4 c. cooking sherry
1 sm. chopped onion
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chicken broth

Saute mushrooms and onions in butter for 10 minutes. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Stirring constantly, add milk and chicken broth. Cook until thickened. Just before serving, add sherry. Serves 4-6.
