CHOCOLATE CHERRY CAKE 
3 c. flour, self rising
3/4 c. butter
1/4 c. cherry juice
3 sq. semi-sweet cooking chocolate, melted
12 slice in half cherries
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk

Mix flour and sugar in large bowl; add butter and milk and blend well. Add eggs, cherry liquid, chocolate, and cherries. Melt chocolate in saucepan and pour batter into pan or pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until cake springs lightly back when touched in center. Cool; frost and let set 45 minutes. Serve.

ICING:

1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 to 1/2 c. cream
1/4 c. cherries, 12 or more cut in half
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar
1/4 c. chopped nuts, pecans or other, chopped
2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate

Mix all ingredients except cherries cut in half. Frost cake place halves of cherries on top and sides of the cake for garnish.
