SOFTASILK POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter
6 lg. eggs
1 lb. powdered sugar
3 c. cake flour (Betty Crocker Softasilk)
3 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. grated lemon rind

Cream butter well. Add sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Put in grated lemon, sift flour twice, measure. Add very slowly, alternate flour and flavoring. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

GLAZE:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 tbsp. butter

Stir in milk until right consistency for spreading.
