OVEN BROWNED POTATOES | |
10" glass pie plate Enough potatoes, pared & cut into chunks to fill pie plate 1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter Salt & pepper to taste Oven at 375 degrees. Melt butter in pie plate. If using "new" potatoes (little round ones), just peel and fill plate. Otherwise cut regular ones just like you would for boiling mashed potatoes. With spoon, pour melted butter over potatoes, salt and pepper. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove and turn potatoes over and pour butter on them, salt and pepper. Bake another 30 minutes or until fork tender. (If you like you can mash them and pour butter from plate over them, or just serve cut in chunks.) |
