GRANDMA'S BROWNIES 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together dry ingredients. Boil butter, cocoa and water and pour over dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Nuts may be added. Bake in greased 12x17 pan at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

FROSTING:

1/2 stick butter
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 box powdered sugar
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix all together and spread over cooled brownies. 24 servings.
