BUTTERMILK BROWNIES 
1 c. butter
1/3 c. cocoa
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Add butter, cocoa and 1 cup water in saucepan. Bring to boil. Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl. Add eggs and buttermilk. Add cocoa mixture slowly while mixing. Pour into 9x12 pan, greased and floured. Bake at 375 degrees 20 minutes.

Tip: Powdered buttermilk makes fluffier cake.

FROSTING:

1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 tbsp. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter and add ingredients. Pour onto hot cake.
