BROWNIE TYPE CAKE 
CAKE:

2 sticks butter
4 tsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 box confectioners' sugar
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Nuts (if desired)

In saucepan, bring to boil, butter, cocoa, and water. Mix well. Add buttermilk, soda, eggs, and vanilla, beating well. To this, add flour and sugar. Spread out on a greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Frosting: Melt butter. Add cocoa. Mix well. Add other ingredients and nuts, if desired. Mix well and spread on cake while both cake and frosting are hot.
