NORWEGIAN MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground steak
1/4 lb. pork or pork sausage
1 egg
1 c. cracker crumbs
1 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. onion, minced
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. ginger

Pour milk over cracker crumbs and let soak until soft. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. form into small meatballs. Fry in skillet until golden brown, about 20 minutes and thoroughly cooked. Remove meatballs and make a gravy from the drippings. Place meatballs in gravy and serve or serve plain with a toothpick in each as an appetizer. Makes about 6 servings when used as a main dish.
