1 lb. confectioners' sugar 1/2 c. cocoa 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 c. milk 1 tbsp. vanilla 1/2 c. butter 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts In a 2 quart cooking bowl, stir together the sugar, cocoa, salt, milk and vanilla. Mixture is too stiff to mix smooth. Place butter on top. Cook, uncovered, using high powder for 2 minutes or until butter is almost melted. Stir vigorously (this is easier with a wooden spoon) until smooth; stir in nuts. Spread evenly in an 8" square cake pan or a 7"x5" paper ware dish. Refrigerate 1 hour, then cut in squares. Store in covered container in refrigerator. Makes about 36 squares. |
