Philadelphia Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Third time in two weeks that I've made this cake and it is wonderful! Tonight, we could not wait for it to cool. The recipe is so easy. It's delicious plain, or as I did last time, served it with gently cooked sliced strawberries and freshly whipped cream.
(I used a bundt the first time and the batter rose over the rim, so the next two times I used an angel food pan with high sides.)

OK, I'm stumped... How can a cold oven be @ 325 degs? Do you put the cake in a cold oven, THEN select (turn oven on) to 325 degs???

 Bill (Florida) replies:
Yep. Put in cold oven, then select 325°F. Easy!

 Ms Lane (Texas) says:
This recipe was very good, cake was very moist. Instead of spraying the pan, I coated it with soft (real butter) and then lightly floured. It was delicious!

This was my first pound cake. It turned out really good. I pre-heated the oven. And I used Philadelphia cream frosting for my topping.

This cake was simple to make but turned out extremely heavy and firm. I was expecting something a little more fluffy and moist.

 Ruth (Ohio) replies:
Pound cakes aren't usually light -- they are more dense, heavier. Traditional cakes are more light and fluffy.
