CHEESE-ONION WHITE ROLLS
500 g. whole wheat
100 g. white flour
300 g. water
4 g. salt
8 g. dry yeast
100 g. butter
2 sliced onions
5 oz. grated mild cheddar cheese

Let yeast dissolve in 3 tablespoons lukewarm water for 10 minutes. Pour mixture into bowl with both flours. Add butter, salt, water; knead the dough. If too wet, add more white flour.

Let dough rise for 45 minutes, covered with a plastic bag and a tea-towel. Flatten dough into a square; sprinkle with onions and cheese. Form a roll. Close seams well. Cut roll into 3/4-inch slices. Put slices flat on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 17 minutes at 220 degrees C.
