2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. oil 2 lbs. pork roast or loin 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 2 1/2 c. milk Heat butter and oil in pot large enough to hold meat. Brown meat on all sides. Add salt, pepper and milk (slowly). When milk boils, cover pot and cook on medium heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until meat is tender. Be sure to baste and turn meat from time to time. Remove meat to cutting board and allow to cool before slicing. (Use pan drippings to make a gravy if you like.) |
