GARLIC DILL PICKLES 
1 qt. vinegar
3 qt. water
1 c. salt
1/4 tsp. alum
1/4 tsp. garlic or sm. bud fresh garlic, to taste

Using clear, sterilized jars, pack clean cucumbers with cucumbers and seal. Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Yield: 9 quarts.
