“NEW ORLEANS PRALINES” IS IN:

NEW ORLEANS PRALINES 
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup dairy sour cream
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. white vinegar
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/4 cups pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugars, baking soda, dairy sour cream, salt and vinegar; bring to a boil and cook until soft ball forms in cup of cold water (234-240°F on candy thermometer).

Add butter, pecans and vanilla; beat until thick. Spoon out on waxed paper to harden.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.

Makes 10 to 12 servings.
