CHERRY WINKS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. double acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped dates
1/3 c. cherries, drained and chopped
2 1/2 c. corn flakes

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Blend Crisco and sugar together, creaming well. Add eggs, milk and vanilla, beating well. Blend into dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly and add nuts, dates and cherries. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into crushed corn flakes. Toss lightly to coat and form into balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Top each with 1/4 cherry. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
