MANDARIN SALAD 
1 med. head Bibb or Boston lettuce, torn
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, chilled and drained
1/2 med. avocado, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans or almonds, toasted
2 green onions, thinly sliced
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1/3 c. commercial Italian dressing

Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl. Add Italian dressing, tossing gently. Yield: 6 servings.
