PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
Milk
Egg
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 lg. rectangular cake pan

Place wax paper in bottom of rectangular cake pan. (See mix box for size.) Prepare batter according to directions on the box.

Melt one stick butter and pour into bottom of pan. Sprinkle brown sugar on top of butter. Drain pineapple, distribute evenly over brown sugar. Decorate with maraschino cherries.

Pour batter over brown sugar/butter mixture. Bake approximately 50 minutes in oven at 350 degrees. Test with toothpick. It should come out clean. Remove cake from oven. Allow to nearly cool. Turn out on cake plate. Remove wax paper. It looks pretty and tastes great.
