BAKED WHOLE 1015 SWEET ONIONS 
6 medium to lg. 1015 onions
2 sm. garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. dry white wine
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese or freshly grated Romano cheese
2 tbsp. snipped parsley

Place the Texas Sweet Onions on middle rack. Bake in 350 degree oven about 30 minutes until 1015's are tender. (Size of onions determines cooking time.) Remove outer skin and place 1015's on serving dish. Cut each onion into fourths, about halfway through; separate slightly. Saute garlic in butter over medium heat until golden brown. Remove from heat. Stir in wine and cheese with parsley. Pour immediately over Texas Sweet Onions and serve. 6 servings, 135 calories each.

Dr. Leonard M. Pike, the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station scientist at Texas A&M University who developed the 1015 which has been declared the sweetest onion in the world in two national onion taste-off contests.
