MOTHER'S NEVER FAIL LIGHT ROLLS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. warm water
2 tbsp. melted shortening
4 c. flour
1 egg, well beaten

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, egg and shortening. Mix and add flour to form a soft dough. Let rise once. Then make into rolls, let rise again, then bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. If you want to keep half of the dough, put it in the refrigerator and it will keep for another day.
