LAZY DAY STEW | |
2 lb. boneless stew meat (do not brown) Potatoes Carrots Onions Celery 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.) 1 can water 1 tbsp. sugar Salt & pepper to taste 3 tbsp. minute tapioca 2 beef bouillon cubes or granules Place meat in long pyrex pan. Cut vegetables in chunks and place on top of meat. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over meat and vegetables. Seal pan with heavy foil and place in 325 degree oven for 3 hours. Delicious! Hint: Meat can be put in pan frozen and all ingredients added and put in oven in morning. Then use automatic timer on stove and when you come home from work - dinner is ready. (I bake at 200 degrees for 5 hours.) |
