BLACK FOREST BANANA BREAD 
4 to 6 mashed ripe bananas (4 large or 6 medium)
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
3 2/3 cups whole wheat flour (add 1/3 cup more if using all-purpose flour)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries (like the cherries you put in fruity drinks - not the fruit cake kind. Don't forget to remove the stems!)
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray TWO large loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray (Pam).

Mash bananas. Add butter, oil, water, vanilla and eggs to bananas and mix. Add sugar, flour, salt and baking soda and mix until moist. Stir in chocolate chips, cherries and pecans. Pour into prepared loaf pans.

Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes, until done in the center.

Makes 2 loaves.
