2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
4 c. flour

Roll out cookie dough with rolling pin dusted lightly with flour.

Cook until thick: 1 c. sugar 1 c. water 1 c. nuts, chopped

When cool, spread over cookie dough, roll up like jelly roll, slice and bake on cookie sheet that was greased. Bake in 375 degree oven.
