MRS. "A'S" PIZZA
2 c. warm water (105-115 degrees)
2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
4 tbsp. oil
Flour

Stir dough ingredients until dissolved. Gradually add 2 1/2 cups flour until smooth. Then add 3 1/2 cups flour, mix until you can knead. Knead dough mixture for 5 minutes. Put into a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until double. Punch dough with fist.

Divide in half, roll out and spread on 2 cookie sheets. Put in preheated oven (450 degrees) for 5 minutes. (Dough will rise again in oven.) Take out. Put toppings on and bake for at least 8 minutes or until cheese bubbles.

PIZZA SAUCE:

1/2 onion
1/2 med. green pepper
2 cloves minced garlic
2 tbsp. oil
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 tbsp. basil
1 tbsp. oregano
1 1/2 tsp. sugar

Saute onion, peppers and garlic in 2 tablespoons oil until almost browned. Add remaining ingredients (bay leaf optional). Let simmer for 1/2 hour until it thickens. When done remove bay leaf, pour onto pizza crust, and finish baking. Add desired toppings, after sauce has been poured on crust.
