POUND CAKE WITH CARAMEL ICING 
Cake:

3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
2 sticks butter
1 c. milk
5 whole eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond flavor

Cream butter and sugar, mix in 1 egg at a time. Add milk, then flour, vanilla and almond flavorings. Stir well.

Bake in tube pan at 325°F for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Frosting:

2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. evaporated milk

Mix brown sugar, butter and cream in saucepan; bring to a boil over low heat until all sugar is dissolved. Beat in powdered sugar. Spread frosting on cooled cake.
