CHOCOLATE KRAUT CAKE | |
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. chocolate syrup 1 1/2 c. sugar 2/3 c. shortening 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs 1 c. water 1/2 c. drained kraut Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all dry ingredients with chocolate syrup and shortening then add sugar, vanilla, egg, water, and kraut. Beat on medium speed with electric mixer. Mix until smooth; pour in two 9 inch cake pans. Bake 35 minutes. Use chocolate icing on finished cake. |
