JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
4 eggs
1 c. oil
1/2 c. orange juice
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 apples, sliced thinly
1/2 c. sliced nuts, slightly floured

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Beat eggs; add sugar, vanilla and orange juice. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with oil and beat until well blended. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased tube pan. Add 1 1/2 sliced apples and 1/2 of sugar mixture. Add nuts to rest of batter and pour in pan along with apples and sugar mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours.
