JEWISH APPLE CAKE | |
3 c. flour 1 c. cooking oil 1/4 c. orange juice 3 tsp. baking powder 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt 4 to 5 apples, sliced Sugar mixture: 3/4 cup sugar and 4 tbsp. cinnamon Beat all ingredients until smooth except apples and sugar mixture. Batter will be very thick. Pour 1/2 batter in greased tube pan. Spread 1/2 apples and 1/2 sugar mixture over top. Add remaining batter and top with rest of apples and sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cool and remove from pan. |
