LEMON SQUARES 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 lb. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Powdered sugar

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, butter and 1/4 cup powdered sugar, thoroughly. Press evenly in ungreased square pan, 8x8x2 inch, building up 1/2 inch edges. Bake 20 minutes. Beat remaining ingredients except powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Pour over hot crust. Bake just until no indentation remains when touched in center, about 25 minutes longer; cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into about 1 1/2 inch squares (25 squares).
