OVERNIGHT COFFEE CAKE | |
2/3 c. shortening (Crisco) 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. buttermilk 1/2 c. raisins TOPPING: 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. nuts 1 tsp. nutmeg Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and cinnamon. Add buttermilk alternately with flour. Put in greased 9x12 pan; mix topping and sprinkle on top. Refrigerate overnight and bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. |
