FUNNEL CAKE 
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
1 1/3 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

Beat egg and milk together. Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until lumps disappear. Melt 2 inches corn oil or lard in iron skillet. Holding finger on small end over hole in funnel fill funnel with batter. Hold 2 inches above hot oil and drop batter into oil in a swirl about 8 inches in diameter. Fry on each side about 1-1 1/2 minutes. Drain cakes on paper towel and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
