DATE BARS 
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dates
1 c. nuts

Mix flour sifted with baking powder. Add dates and nuts. Beat egg yolks; add sugar, combine with flour and fruit. Fold in whites of eggs well beaten.

Bake in unbuttered pan in moderate oven, 325°F about 50 minutes.

Cool in pan. Cut in squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
