APPLESAUCE RAISIN CAKE 
1 c. seedless raisins
1 3/4 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves, ground
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 #303 can (16 oz.) applesauce
Confectioners' sugar
1/2 c. butter

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 inch sheet pan. 2. Dust raisins with a small part of flour and set aside. 3. In the mixer, cream together brown sugar and butter. Add egg and blend well. 4. Add dry ingredients (flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and cloves) and blend thoroughly. 5. Add raisins and applesauce. 6. Bake in greased pan at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. 7. Let cool and sprinkle sugar lightly on top.
