1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
18 oz. Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Dash of salt
1 c. walnuts, chopped (optional)

Pour sweetened condensed milk in pan and heat over low to medium heat. Pour in chocolate bits and stir until all melted. Take pan off heat and add dash of salt and vanilla. Pour in wax paper-lined and buttered 9 inch square pan. Cool for 2 hours, remove waxed paper, cut into squares and serve.
