KANSIE HAYNES' CINNAMON COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt together. Cream shortening until light and fluffy adding both brown and white sugar gradually creaming constantly. Beat eggs until light and stir into creamed mixture. Stir in dry ingredients about a cupful at a time. Last, add nuts. Mix thoroughly.

Divide dough in half and place on waxed paper. Roll into rolls diameter of a silver dollar. Refrigerate overnight or 12 hours. Slice very thin and bake 7-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Rolls of dough may be frozen and baked as needed.
