HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
1 lb. beef 1 onion, minced 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 1 1/2 tsp. paprika 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 1/4 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 3/4 tsp. cider vinegar 6 tbsp. ketchup 1 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. flour Rice or noodles Cut beef into small cubes. Brown meat on all sides in fry pan or Dutch oven; add onion. Combine mustard, paprika, brown sugar, and salt. Combine Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and ketchup; add to mustard mixture. Add to meat. Add 1 cup of water. Stir and cover. Cook over low heat 1 to 2 hours or until meat is very tender. Blend flour with remaining 1/2 cup water. Add to meat mixture; stir until thickened. Cook rice or noodles according to package directions. Serve meat mixture over rice or noodles. |
