1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar, butter and eggs together until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients, add nuts and raisins. Add alternately with applesauce to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix thoroughly and turn into a well greased tube pan or 2 loaf pans and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
