2 c. raisins and nuts, mixed
1 c. butter
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. applesauce
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 c. sugar

Cream sugar and shortening. Add part of applesauce, nuts and raisins and cream well. Add flour with baking powder and spices sifted together. Add remaining applesauce into which soda is mixed. Mix well.

Pour into 10 inch bundt or tube pan and bake in a moderate oven for about 45 minutes or until it feels solid when gently tapped.
