MICROWAVE BEEF, POTATO GRAVY
CASSEROLE
 
1/2 lb. lean hamburg
1/2 med. onion, sliced thin
3/4 tsp. salt
Pepper
1/2 tsp. Italian herbs
3 med. red potatoes, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
1/4 c. minced parsley
1/2 c. beef broth
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet

In 1 1/2 quart casserole microwave beef on high, covered 5 minutes, stirring once. Add onion, salt, pepper, herbs, potatoes, parsley, beef broth. Stir to mix. Dot with butter.

Microwave high covered until steaming - about 5 minutes. Stir and microwave on 30% power about 20 minutes, stirring once. If potatoes are not tender microwave 2-3 minutes longer.

Stir together flour, water, Kitchen Bouquet and add immediately on taking from oven. Stir to thicken juices. Microwave on high 1 minute, stir again and let stand covered 10 minutes. Serves 2

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
