CHILI AND CHIP BAKE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. frozen onion
1 env. (1 oz.) chili seasoning mix
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
3/4 c. water
1 can (1 lb.) red kidney beans, drained
1 (4 oz.) bag corn chips
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese

1. Brown beef in a large skillet until crumbly; stir in onion, chili seasoning mix, tomato paste, water and kidney beans; simmer 5 minutes.

2. Line an 8 cup shallow casserole with 1/3 of the corn chips; spoon half of the meat mixture in; sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese; repeat layering with 1/3 corn chips. Add remaining meat mixture; top with corn chips and cheese. Cover with aluminum foil.

3. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) 10 minutes longer or until casserole is bubbly and cheese melted.
