BANANA OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. mashed banana
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. uncooked regular oats
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chocolate chips

In large bowl, beat shortening, brown sugar, egg, mashed banana and vanilla until creamy. Mix flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture, blend well. Stir in oats and chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons on to greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
