CHEESE APPLE CRISP 
4 cups apples, sliced
1/4 cup cold water
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Arrange apple slices in bottom of greased 8-inch baking dish and sprinkle with water. Mix flour, rolled oats, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Save 1/4 cup of mixture for topping. Stir cheese into remainder and spread over apples; sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350°F until apples are tender, about 25 to 30 minutes.
