NEW YEAR'S EVE BLACKEYED PEA DIP 
4 (15 oz.) cans blackeyed peas (drained)
3 jalapeno peppers (canned), seeded and chopped
2 tbsp. jalapeno liquid from can
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers, chopped
1/2 lb. Old English cheese, grated
1 c. butter

Combine first 6 ingredients in blender. Melt butter and cheese in microwave or in saucepan on low heat. Stir in blackeyed peas. May be served hot or cold. Serves approximately 20 people.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
