GRANDMA'S ORANGE CARROT CAKE 
1 c. Grandma's molasses gold label
1 c. butter, softened
4 eggs
1/2 c. orange juice
1 c. all purpose flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. shredded carrots
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Use cream cheese icing but add 1 teaspoon grated orange peel

In large bowl combine molasses, butte, eggs and orange juice; mix well. Stir in flours, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Stir in carrots and walnuts. Pour into 2 greased 8 or 9 inch round cake pans. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool 15 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely.

Mix cream cheese icing. Spread one layer with frosting, top with second layer and spread frosting over rest of cake; garnish with grated orange peel or walnuts.
