2 strips bacon, fried 1 med. onion 1 lb. hamburger 2 (1 lb.) cans pork & beans 1/2 c. molasses 1/2 c. ketchup 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. mustard 1 tsp. salt Extra bacon (opt.) Fry 2 strips of bacon, remove bacon and chop onion into skillet for sauteing until tender. Add hamburger and brown. Add all remaining ingredients (except extra bacon) and mix well. (Be sure to mix in the 2 strips of bacon cooked first.) Pour into 2 (8") baking pans or a large casserole dish (9"x15"). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes to 1 hour (or until mixture turns nice and brown and sauce is not too bubbly. Before baking you can add 2 to 3 strips of bacon on top. This adds more flavor. |
