BARBECUE SAUCE FOR MEATS | |
3 tbsp butter 1 onion, diced fine 1 small green pepper, diced fine 2 tbsp brown sugar 2 tbsp prepared mustard 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce 1 tsp salt 3/4 c. catsup Choose at least a 2 pound standing rib. Allow 3/4 to 1 pound per person. Season with seasoned salt, onion salt and garlic powder. Place in shallow pan in pre-heated oven 375°F, with fat side up that has seasons on it. Do this 3 hours before serving time. Do not cover. Do not add water. Leave oven on for 45 minutes. Turn oven off, leave in oven with door closed. Turn oven on again at 375°F for another 50 minutes before serving. Let stand 15 minutes before carving. Note: For roast 10 to 12 pounds leave in oven 60 minutes at the beginning and 60 to 90 minutes at the end for Medium rare... |
